Gifted Gorgeous SAL Update for August

Jo's year long SAL Gifted Gorgeousness

I have been stitching quite a bit on The Alchemist this past month (3400+ stitches),the floss was a gift from my Mr. last Christmas

Santa has gained his belt and part of his plaid mittens.

A few letters; from here on out everything is #310!

A new little start on a Prairie Schooler design (free on their site).
This will be finished as an ornament and used in place of a bow on a Christmas gift.

I did start and finish (still needs to be made into an ornament), Midnight Santa,
stitched with floss that was gifted to me.

That's it for me for this month's update.

Giveaway from VMSS

 Aren't these autumn colours scrumptious?
If you want a chance to win them stop in and give Nancy some love,

A Treat

Since my birthday is on the 13th, I decided to treat myself to a new

"Lily of the Valley"
by
Rachel Anderson
This design caught my eye and reminded me of the lily of the valley that grew in my Mom's garden when I was a youngster. I can remember the delicate vase Mom would always put the flowers into and the fragrance, just lovely.
Although there is quite alot of green, I don't mind since that is my favourite colour.
Now to hint to the men of the house that the floss would be the ideal birthday gift!
If you missed it, HaED is having a 35% off sale gong on right now.

WIPocalypse for July 31

For the second time this month the participants of WIPocalypse are able to show their progress!
Yes, July 2015 brought us not one but two full moons, the elusive Blue Moon.
Question of the month

What makes you pick up a long abandoned UFO rather than beginning a new piece?

That's a good question. I'd have to say that I really don't like things that go unfinished. That and the fact that it's there, staring me in the face, begging to be completed or at the very least given some love and attention.

Not only did I get this far on these pieces but I managed to get my printer cooperating and
voila!

The Alchemist has come out to play!!
This is my Big Ass Project that's in my sidebar.

I'm combining both SALs on this one post, more stitch time ;)
